    hey DW if your trying to install a map program from garmin you have to download a program from garmin to get vista to take it, Frosty and I had the same problem, garmin gave me a file to install and all is well, is your a garmin map

    NOPE MY PROGRAM IS A LOWRANCE FOR MY HAND HELD GPS UNITS. CAN'T INSTALL THE PROGRAM UNTIL I GET MY CD-ROM DRIVE FIXED. LOL VISTA IS FUN ISN'T IT!
