Got my crappie.com sticker in the mail today and it's already on my boat. I'm John, live in Lockwood, fish Stockton mostly. Have a 8 year old daughter who is a pretty good fishin partner, she just can't reach the pedals or see over the wheel to back the boat in but we have a good time. Just got my first boat ever, don't think I'm going to miss bank fishing right away. I've been trying to go after work a few days a week, I have a really great boss that not only lets me cut out a little early sometimes he'll even tell me where they're biting, been learning alot from him and here as well. I fished Pomme and Truman growing up just fishing when it was easy going and could bum a ride but now I'm ready to fish year round. I'm very happy to be part of this great community and can't wait to meet new fishin buddies along the way. Have a blue chevy pick up and a tan 17 fisher if you ever see me around
Greetings Whiskey Phish! I guess if a guy's gotta work, having a boss like that would be the way to go.....some of the people I work for would just as soon run me over as look at me! And the neat thing about having a boat is that now you can "bank" fish the whole lake....not just the spots you can drive to!
Welcome Whiskey Phish .... I'll keep and eye out for the tan Fisher with the CDC sticker.... and good luck out on the water.
Welcome to the board Whiskey Phish. We are glad to have you
welcome
My name is Tammy. I'm 54, married to Philip for 24 years, and have two daughters! Love, love to fish! Fish Smithville mostly, only because I'm not familiar with other Missouri lakes to fish. My husband and I have a pontoon, and a small flat bottom fishing boat. Would love to get involved with other Smithville Lake fishermen/women. Always wanting to learn more about fishing. Have not tried crank bait fishing. Fish under the bridges and some brush. Also fish my mom's farm pond -- great bass fishing! Love the fight of the bass, but love to eat Crappie! We have a fifth wheel travel trailer and camp at Crow's Creek. Anyone know of fishing guides for Smithville!
Welcome Tammy. There is a ton of info here on the forum, and I have learned a lot since joining in Aug last year. My wife and I also have a fifth wheel and we go to Crows creek as our #1 campground. We have two little girls ( 4.5 and 3), and a third child on the way ( too early to tell).
Welcome.
I'm sure we've seen you. We usually try to camp "on the circle" in the East Electric (313-319). This site is a little overwhelming at first, but I have been working my way around it. Have you had much luck with Crappie fishing at Smithville this year? We haven't been out fishing yet, but are planning it for the next few weekends.
