Wow - can't beleive I've been here for awhile and haven't thought to post in here. I just thought a few people posted, but looked in here tonight to find 23 pages of posts! It's about time I get this done. lol
Most people just call me Coop, mid 30's, married almost ten years. I have two very cute daughters (3 and 1) with an understanding wife -most times. I grew up around LOZ in Versailles, been in the St. Louis area for the last ten years. I was a member of the MOANG and am now in the AF reserves. Also work as a civilian in the government, too. I will admit that I have a problem.....
I can't control the urge to fish!! :)
bout time polvo sure are a bunch of nice folks on here, hope you enjoy your stay, and thanks for your help
Hi, I'm Ed, and I've been getting the bug lately. Haven't done too much fishing in my life, but love anything outdoors. I'm just approaching 50, married, one grown daughter. I work network support for a large KC company. My wife likes to fish too, but mabbe not as much as me lately.
I've been fishing ponds, and Smithville with my canoe. Someday I hope to gradiate to a real fishing boat ...
welcome tedsalt, lots of KC area fishermen on here, jump in and make a hand, you got questions, some one will have answer, some wont, anyway you are bound to gain something from us, later man.
Welcome tedsalt from Truman lake.
Welcome aboard, Ed. Come on down to Fall Camp and get to know a bunch of good folk.
Welcome, Ed, from Kearney, MO...
A bunch of crappie.com'ers are getting together for a little fishing and some BS on August 22nd at Smithville Lake...you should come out and meet some folks.
Get togethers sound good, unfortunately, I'll be working a weekend shift (Sat, Sun, Mon) into December. However, that leaves me with a 4 day weekend during the week (Tues - Fri) when boat traffic is lower :D So, if anyone would want to meet then, I'm game ...
Well. I'm Mike and my wife Jane and I live 3 miles south of Peculiar, MO, on the south edge of KC. Close enough to get in and out easy and far enough away to not have the craziness. Originally from Sprangfiel, MO., lived there 37years. Transferred to Minneapolis for 11 years, then transferred to KC, been here about 12 years. I have been retired from BNSF Railway four years, enjoyed all I could stand.
I have fished Stockton since it filled. Fish The Rock, Pomme, Truman, numerous small lakes in KS & MO. Have not fished Truman enough to know much about it, but I intend to. Have never fished LOZ. I have a 19' '93 Champion 190 Elite, metalflake silver & blue with 200 Merc and a 17' aluminum BassTracker bass boat with a 40 on it. I do some major bass tournaments, mostly on The Rock and Stockton, and fish as much as I can.
We own a place east of Clinton, MO and south of the old Northern Cherokee Trading Post on 7 hwy 1/2 mile. Also have property on Stockton north of Greenfield. Been staying REALLY busy rehabing the place at Clinton.
I try to work in dove, turkey, deer, coyote hunting. And riding my Harley.
And I am a SERIOUS meat smoker. Two friends and I have our own outdoor cooking site - The Q Joint - check it out sometime. We also have a competition BBQ team out of Tulsa. Jane and I are members of the Kansas City Barbecue Society and are both certified competition barbeque judges. We will be cooking the American Royal Invitational and Open BBQ contests in Oct. with good friends from Grand Rapids, MI, the Smokin' Scotsmen BBQ Team, currently ranked #24 in brisket in the US out of over 3000 teams.
I still haven't figured out how I ever had time to go to work before I retired.
Really enjoy this site and drop in as much as I can. Hope to meet some members in the future. Good fishin' to y'all!
