Default Went to Walt Disney's home town and city lake

After tearing them up previous day Bymo and I decided to go hit a new lake I have never been to but a guy on fishing dock said was a good crappie lake. Marceline was 40 minutes from my cabin so we drove there. Nice facilities at lakeside with good boat ramp and fishing dock, nice bathrooms. Beautiful lake about 180 acres. spoke with a guy launching his boat and he said plenty of crappie, bass and BG in there. We fished off dock for half hour and caught 4 nice keepers all black crappie.

took tour thru town and it's a nice thriving small town in northern mo. couple factories on main road in and HS looks really good. Drove thru downtown and that's supposedly what Walt designed Main Street in Disneyland around. Nice to see a town without abandoned homes around and neighborhoods looking great. Drove to Walt Disney park and it's very nice.

Drove back to pit from day before and got into them right away and had our limits in an hour. In fact as leaving we kept saying now we are leaving crappie and we would get a double on! said that like three times before we realized that was out limits so we left. Put them on ice and headed to Mark Twain lake where our buddy has a couple of homes in Stoutsville and had dinner with him and a buddy who moved to FL.

Thunderstorms swept in while we were at house and then we dashed for home when it stopped but we ran dead into it going home and lightning and thunder all around was intense but we did finally make it back.

when byford comes he usually brings bad fishing but not this time. We really whacked them good.

Great Post! Like the red jacket. Haven't been up that way since I retired from my job. And good looking fish.

it is a great area and we were fortunate when our BF from college worked for Associated electric down in SEMO took US up to this area because they had a associated plant there and we were offered a house for pocket change because it needed a ton of work.

Lakes up in this area are some of the least utilized in state and have a lot of fish in them.
