    Default Dead what?

Dead water does it again! Took another 45 on a snaggin mission below 65 bridge.

My sister who is enter the mess of a divorce messaged early last week wanted to know if I could guide for her and a friend. Said sure but the weather looks crappy, if it’s not storming well getrdone. Well her friend couldn’t come so dad came along with her.
We hit the dead water early. LS sowed fish 6-17 feet down just past the bouys.
We hit em steady on minnows. Seemed like the school was moving farther past to bouys where all the other boats with LS were so I slowly made my way out there. Didn’t mark or catch any. Not sure why the other 20 boats were so far out. I moved back in closer to the bouys and we quickly finished up our limits about 11am.

We took a few cold one to celebrate while we tried snagging on LOZ.
My sister caught several cats and a baby bill, but we could seem to catch a buzz or a keeper. So we cruised further down to the Par house and got a few more cold ones. They said the bills were still downstream so we gave that a try but still no dice.

Wtg Jake taking your sis out as u do need distractionswhen ur in middle of maelstrom. Been thru 3 myself but was fortunate as first we didn't have anything much, second started out awful but ended up actually having fun. Third she kept hers I kept mine. Hoping they get thru it without being enemies, best to b fair and move on with their lives.

Wondering why so many w LS DIDNT DO what u did? That's a very solid box of fish! Plus a family day! Congratulations.

Good job on both the fishing and being supportive. That’s going to be some good eats! Way to go.

Congrats Jake nice catch there! That's one of my favorite fishing spots, seems to always produce something to fillet. If your doing the dipsy diver thing you can show me the set up sometime. I think alot of the folks out farther are targeting hybrids and walleye.

Nice post for the fishing. Hoping for calmer waters on the personal side.

Happy to to show you. Unless I'm trying to target them with live scope, I'll never try snagging without a diver. Too much work, doesn't even look fun.

Pretty sure the guys out in the current were definately after walleye or hybrids. But the guys I'm talking about had LS and spider rigs just like me. Was surprised to see so many riggin, been a long time. Maybe they had the scope turned off??
