It's a nice fish. A little more tug. But crappie is best. Of course you know that.

It was gut hooked and bleeding real bad, no way it would have survived, so I ate it.

WTG Beagle good to see your back ketchn. I laugh at folks who don't eat bass which has a great filet on fish that size, another excellent white fish.

How are you getting around? Feeling good?

bass are very tasty, firm flakes, good food, I am feeling pretty good, I still want to come north a couple days and fish. who knows I might catch a drum or carp. make salmon patties. When I was a kid family would fish the james river, what ever we caught came home with us or cleaned on the bank for supper, carp, drum, were cut up and boiled and my Momma would add red food coloring to the mix and turn the chunks pink, can them up and in the winter we all ate salmon patties, was pretty old when I found out them salmon cakes I took to school was not salmon. ah the good ole days.

Now trying to figure out MY health issues. sleeping and breathing are at issue plus weakness at walking or doing anything strenuous. fishing off docks and shore has been inconsistant as well. december should give things time to settle down and get back at it.

opening weekend of deer season fishing was not good and boys did kill couple of nice bucks and they plan on going back all 3 weekends. will keep you informed.
