This is the story, and I'm sticking to it. I watched a video, a while back, about some english fellow catching carp using a long pole. So I thought I might try to copy it and catch some crappie. I used a telesopic rod, cut of the end, put on a bushing and then threaded the pole with elastic line. At the end I put on a bead, tied some line to it. On the other end I attached what they called an end bung to pull the elastic when the fish took out the line. Well I tried, and I tried, but nothing would bite. Till this morning I went out to the little lake I fish at and fished from the bank. I caught a small perch first, it couldn't stretch the elastic. Then another perch and still did not stretch the elastic. At last a bass attacked and it did pull out the elastic. I used the end bung and pulled the eleastic (kind of like fly fishing) and got em in. It was a different way to catch. And I might try it out of the boat next time. And fish deeper. But that's the story. Plus this is my 1000th post. I was holding off till I had some news.Name: DSCN0201.jpg
