Thread: Truman Monday

I’d been promising to take a friend out for quite a while but always had scheduling conflicts. It would seem that being retired has resolved the problem. We put in at Bucksaw and headed to my go to flat. Dipping minnows on 1/8 Oz jigs. He had my favorite chartreuse/orange head while I was using blue. We both caught fish once he figured out what to look for but I was the only one catching any keepers. Not unusual but after a while I was thinking what am I doing different? Changed him over to a blue head and it fixed the problem. Not a ton of fish but we had 17 plus a big ditch pickle before I wrecked my trolling motor. Cracked the head at the top of the shaft. On the way to the repair shop now. No fishing for me this week. Here’s some picks.
