I have a depth question for you all. I fish Lake of the Ozarks near the Grand Glaize bridge area. In the summer months between June1st and September 1st, what is your thought on the optimal Crappie depth? In almost all applications, I don’t usually see or catch crappie much deeper than 15-18 feet suspended in 20-25 feet deep. I do sometimes catch them suspended 12-18 feet over 35-40 feet of water on some condo docks.

What is your all experience with summer crappie depth?

Do you catch them holding close to structure deeper than 18 Feet? If you catch them in deep water, do they ever hold very deep, or are they always suspended very high?(above 20ft)

I also know they will suspend pretty high to right under the floats of deep water docks in the summer as well.
