    The bass club has tournaments every Thursday night and some on the weekends also. Has put a hurt on the bass population. They did stock 250 - 1 1/2lb bass in the lake this fall since the population was going down. Years ago I could cast around my cove and catch a five pounder. Not so easy now.

    It's just getting flat out stupid. I love to fish and I am very competitive so I like to fish a tourney every now and then but it's every where you turn now. There are so many bass clubs and circuits it's crazy. And then you hear major circuits like B.A.S.S. talking about the future and growing the sport. I say the sport has imploded and overgrown all the way down to high school bass fishing. These lakes are public and the fish are a resource, not just another means for someone to make money. Now bass fishing is a high school and college sport. Maybe they should build their own lake on campus just like a football field. Sorry I ranted on your post

    I don't care what anyone says. Weather you catch 1,000 or zero, the fact you got out there and enjoyed the time on the water is what makes a trip.
