Got a late start due to early Dr. appointment. Met old friend and tournament partner Ed at Clinton, put in at Bucksaw. Got one of the remaining two parking slots in the lots. Doesn't anyone work anymore???
We motored down to Sand Branch, 8 boats in there. Tried it anyway, some were starting to leave since they had been there since daybreak. Rigged, caught 6 nice 12" crappie back in the cove, 13' water 8' deep, one crazy white bass. Water temp 40.45°F. And that's the name of that tune. Great day to be on the water. And I love my new Ultrex!
Oh - And on the way south passed a 1 1/2 mile long procession of law enforcement vehicles, lights flashing, headed to KC to escort the fallen Clinton officer's body back to Clinton. I policed a while.
