Default To cold for some, but

Afternoon all, Why do the weather men /women even try, They said 10 to 15 mph wind with just to 30,First picture is what the water looked like when I got to the lake,,, second picture is what the purple/chartruse Slabbuster and the mid south glow chartruse caught, Went solo today, It was a great day on the water, cold, calm day, only one other crazy boat out there, They never caught a fish and they was 10 ft from me, only had two short fish the rest were all over 11in, and 3 of them over `13 in, gonna be some good eating. now for the petulicars, fish were in 25 ft of water, the water was 44 dg, light wind, no sun, plenty of shad but you had to work the outer edge of the shad, If you dropped in the middle of the shad ball no bite, toss out let fall to bottom, come up slow hold it for a few seconds, (thanks Rick Flint.) and pow your rod tip might move, or just twitch a bit, don't think just set the hook, On heck of a good day.

Thanks LSL Angler, crappie flash thanked you for this post

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
