Went out fishing Sunday at 12:30, air temperature was 43 and water temperature was 48 degrees. Back in the coves the water temperature was 49 degrees. Fish were biting good, caught a lot of 8, 9, and 10" which is a good sign for next years fishing. Caught the 2 lb crappie in about 4 feet of water. Caught another one that probably went close to 1 1/2 lbs. Let the big ones go and pictures. Kept some for dinner to keep the wife happy. Of course she thought I was crazy going out in the cold to fish but that 2 pounder made up for that. Quit at 3:30. The fall fishing has been good on our lake. Heard a report of someone catching a 1.7 lb last week.
