They will probably just absorb their eggs as fat, they never could get up gonna the bank a spawn with the water levels going up and down.

spawning so really confused. Did they spawn or skip it and just hanging around or what? water temp was 72+. do they just carry eggs all the time? really confused.

Yes on Thomas Hill
Seem to catch fish all year up there with eggs. Don't know what the deal is but with the water always being warm who knows. Everything up there is pretty weird as far as the spawn goes.
had great spawn fishing that lasted for long time last year. so was just wondering. don't remember seeing eggs in females after june last year but then again, don't remember much of last week.
A couple threads from years past re: eggs in fish post spawn.
Also, I wouldn't necessarily say that the first part of June is necessarily "post-spawn"...leastways not everywhere. I'd be surprised if there weren't some crappie somewhere in Missouri still looking to drop eggs right now.
Cleaned 15 at MTL Saturday. All the females still had eggs although most weren't very good looking.
hdhntr thanked you for this post
I cleaned 13 from the Sac River yesterday that all had eggs. Cleaned a few from Pomme within the last week with eggs too.
