    Default all fish I caught this weekend full of eggs, floods hit when they should have been


    spawning so really confused. Did they spawn or skip it and just hanging around or what? water temp was 72+. do they just carry eggs all the time? really confused.

    They will probably just absorb their eggs as fat, they never could get up gonna the bank a spawn with the water levels going up and down.

    Seem to catch fish all year up there with eggs. Don't know what the deal is but with the water always being warm who knows. Everything up there is pretty weird as far as the spawn goes.

    had great spawn fishing that lasted for long time last year. so was just wondering. don't remember seeing eggs in females after june last year but then again, don't remember much of last week.

    A couple threads from years past re: eggs in fish post spawn.







    Also, I wouldn't necessarily say that the first part of June is necessarily "post-spawn"...leastways not everywhere. I'd be surprised if there weren't some crappie somewhere in Missouri still looking to drop eggs right now.

    Cleaned 15 at MTL Saturday. All the females still had eggs although most weren't very good looking.

    I cleaned 13 from the Sac River yesterday that all had eggs. Cleaned a few from Pomme within the last week with eggs too.

    Females rarely drop all their eggs. In some lakes a missed spawn would be good thing. It's very common to catch females with eggs all year round.
