I fished the Big Bash Bash this weekend and came up about 1.5 ounces out the money but got to weigh in two decent bass. I found the fishing pretty tough; however I rarely bass fish at the LOZ. I stayed at my buddy's camper at the 55 mm and fished up to the 44 mm. Saturday was brutal but I had a decent Sunday fishing rip rap and bluffs with a jig. Looks like first place was 7.16 and second was 7.15. You had to have at least a 4 pounder to make the top 31 time slot payout...so that says a lot about the fishery even on a tough weekend....at least for me. Crappiejoe12 and I crappie fished Purvis Friday and also had a tough time keeping 15. I will fish another Big Bass Bash it was a good time and the format levels the playing field. $175 entry for a chance at $100,000 ain't bad. And the title should be Me at the BBB
