I use PowerPro Super Slick 8 ... 4lb. test ... and I use the Huckabee knot for my crappie jigs. It allows a lot of movement of the jig head. And it is pretty easy to tie.

Same for me. Simple and quick to tie. 99.9% of the time I will straighten the hook and not break the line and I use heavier hooks than most in my jigs.

I have been known to use a loop knot. But look out if there is a gap in the eye of the hook. Darn braid will slip through in an instant.
