Mark Twain slabs
Went up and fished Mark Twain for the first time over the weekend in the crappie masters tournament. We drove around Friday afternoon and checked the water color after all the rain and 10' high water that happened since Tuesday. Rules out a couple more spots that had been prefished Sunday and Monday before the rains. It was a really good bite for us once we dialed in what they wanted and where to be. Which was timber on main lake points. We wasted about 5 hours of our tournament day before we had a keeper fish. Once we figured it out and started bouncing around to other points we upgraded fish about 20 times or more in that last couple hours. Still only had 4.86 lbs but ended up in 6th place and cashed a very nice check against 66 other teams from several other states and several locals. Team Stump Jumper/CrappieTown had 3 teams in the top 7.
