Hey Beagle man, if you are wanting a 24 volt Maxxum which is the longer shaft (I think it is 54 inches), I have one that I am using on my boat now. Have been thinking about changing to a Terrova or if I could scrape up the extra dollars then the new Ultrex. It is not presently for sale but if that is what you want then would be willing to show it to you and try it out on my boat before you are wanting to buy one. Would also entertain a trade of some type. I keep my boat stored up at Stockton. Just let me know.

Never mind. Guess I should of read though all of the newer posts before I opened my mouth. Glad you got your new motor. I am still on the fence about a Terrova or the Ultrex.

My posting seems to be delayed. I thought that you already had gotten a replacement. What volt and length is your Terrova?

24 volt, at least 54in, but I think I will keep it, just in case.

I may be a little late here - but I replaced my Minn Kota with a new Motorguide Xi5, and really glad I did. If you are a crappie fisherman, fishing tight to structure is very important to "catching" crappie. This new motor holds tight to the structure! I could not believe it until I fished with my friend for several weeks and his Xi5 performed like no other trolling motor I had seen. I did switch from 12 to 24 volts, and am glad I did.
