    Water temp up river was 65 yesterday but never found any fish that wanted to play, decided to net some shad, and caught some channel cat in water less than 5ft deep.

    64 to 65 water you should be beating the banks. till you find them once you find some stay on that spot for a bit .

    Is hwy W bridge a good spot for me to take my four year old tomorrow or shall it be to crowded because it is a weekend? I do not own a boat so we shall be bank fishing. Thanks.

    "Crowded" isn't the word I would use...there will be quite a few people, but there will always be room for more. I think, tho, that I would head on over to the W bridge to the East and try minnow or jig under a bobber.

    Yesterday I noticed that they put a ton of brush on the north side of that east W Bridge. I know it doesn't take long for crappie to use those brush piles for cover, so there may be some good action along that stretch. Be careful if it rains, that shoulder is pretty soft...
