Thread: Twain Summer Camp

I'm going Kayaking on that Saturday at Pomme and I have to take a water sample at Stockton Sunday otherwise I'm free to go or not. I hope everyone has a great time.

Jim we would gladly find room for you come on over.

a lunch sounds good to me. we won't be on the water the whole day, we usually fish early then come back and cool off then fish again in the evening. I'm not as die hard about constantly having a line in the water as I used to be. so do you guys want me to bring the weber and chef it up a little? I'm always game to BBQ.

We also like fishing early taking a break and then going back out so lunch bbq sounds great. We can bring some packaged salads potato, macaroni and some chips. Looks like 3 in my group.

Wow, it looked like it was tough fishing at the Mark Twain Crappie Masters. Hope they left all the big ones for camp in a couple of weeks.

I've been wondering if the water is going to be down around normal I hope so. Course normal for us at MT. is 20ft high and chocolate brown.

618 and falling Ripn. Looks like they are pulling her down pretty good, maybe a ft. a day? Probably explains why the fishin was tough for the 'masters. Assuming the area can avoid any torrential downpours, should be pretty close to normal and settled down for our weekend.

Hope so Robbie. U being in the know where do you believe us foreigners may find a fish or two Fri. about 10 or 11ish? We should be up there around then and will be looking to put the boat in the water. Looking forward to the outing be good to see the MT crew again. Catman where u at shut down your computer or what?

yeah, the fishing has been slow for a lot of folks all summer. to read the south forks blog, there is no crappies over 5 inches left in twain... well, the crappies sure have had plenty of water to hide in this summer. the falling water will certainly condense the fish some. I'd like to see the water slowly go down to about 610 and stabilize for a few days just before camp...

Better watch out Greg.......will all the tears flowing on the SF blog, the lake might jump another 10 ft.
