There are similar versions from other companies that are less expensive but IMO not as durable, I've had mine 6 years and still on original net.

Just got my first boat and was wondering what kind of net you guys use. I want one that will stow easily but long enough to help when rigging. I didn't realize how expensive they run. Open to ideas don't want to break the bank.

A friend has the above net it's awesome. If you have the cash buy it
I made mine. Trout net at BassPro or Everharts, extending painter's pole (aluminum) from Lowes, remove padded cover on trout net, insert painters pole, drill two holes, rivet inplace. Great net for less than $30 and you can net fish in the next county. Doesn't weigh much either.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Get the one with rubber net. Just a couple of dollars more. Light enough to handle by yourself. The Slider is a heavy net.

I have a Ego rubber net, it's ok but the white bass will cut the rubber I found out, when I replace the net part it won't be rubber.
I bought the cableas slider net. It stowes really well and easy to put together and take apart. I don't normally use one bass fishing so I wanted something that was easy to stow.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
I also used a painters pole from lowes and rigged it to an old wore out net I had. then I spent 20$ on a replacement rubber net at bass pro. I went with a rubber net because I also pull cranks sometimes and all those treble hooks don't get snagged up as bad in rubber nets.
ego reach telescope rubber mesh crappie net at Wal-Mart.com $37 right now. Hard to beat that net...you wont beat that price unless you have sticky fingers
