I caught 6 or 8 small crappie for every keeper, plus a few bass & drum, so there was a lot of action. Most fish were suspended around 5' early and more like 7' as the sun got higher. Several times a big cloud would block the sun and the bigger fish would bite better. Color didn't matter much, I switched colors almost every time I put on a new body.

I see... It looks like it would work very well and not catch many jigs compared to wood. I guess I need to follow a construction crew around and pick up their scraps.

A little bribe might get them to save it for you. Our local contractor piles the scrap next to their dumpster and I pick it up every few weeks.

The contractor I get the majority of my duct from buries our telephone & fiber cables. Power companies use a lot of the same type duct, usually red or black. You probably need to find a crew that bores roads for utility companies.
