Thread: Need a new trolling motor

I decided to get the Minn Kota Edge 55lb. Thanks for the sale offers but I only have a 12 volt system. I got mine new for $509 flat with free shipping from a factory outlet website with a $55 mail in rebate. Hasn't arrived yet wish me luck! I had a Motorguide that worked good but I broke it very stupidly, don't ask.

Along these same lines, what is everyone's opinion on iPilot when in a crappie/spider rigging situation. Seems to me that this would be a sweet way to go but I'm not sure how well it would work in the real world?

the teeny bit of experience i had with it , i hated it, but i am sure its a training issue. i found the steering to be not remotely as responsive as a cable so in the timber and around obstructions, im not sure how i would do it...maybe open water it would be ok, , but thats not usually where i am....i am sure someone here has much better experience
