Welcome to the site!! You don't say which lake you fish, if any. Some lakes have colors that work in that lake most of the time. Lots of guys go with colors they feel confident in. Most of my lures will have some chartreuse in them, with other colors. I rarely use a bait with only one solid color. Sparkle is good....adds a little flash. Try some of the jig heads with spinner blades, such as the roadrunner types. Use different lure styles....tube baits, curly tails, carrot baits. You should also get some different weight jig heads for different conditions. Sometimes the fish want the bait to fall slowly, other times they are more aggressive, and sometimes the wind is blowing so dang hard that you have to use a heavier bait. Learn to watch your line.
