Bought a 798ci HD SI combo at BPS yesterday, they are having their annual boat show, so it comes with a free installation. They had them on sale for $799 ($699 for the external antenna model), regular price was $999. Comes with SI standard, with a free upgrade to add the down imaging. Had all that I have been wanting so I said what the heck, and got it. Can't wait to see it in action. It will go on the console. Gonna start saving again and try to get one of the 597 DI models for the front of the boat; I'm hoping by April, but we'll see...... doubtfull, but we'll see, got an anniversary and fathers day coming up so?????....... who knows!I'm gonna keep saving a little more and get the 798 HD SI combo for a thousand bucks.
Good fishing all.

Yes, it comes with the full gps and chartplotting capabilities. It has both side scan and down scan also, that was the real seller to me. It comes standard with the hummingbird Contour XD mapping; what little research I have done tells me that this is fairly average and doesn't have many of the better lakes so I will probably be looking to upgrade the mapping to one of the better navionics mapping bundles; I am a newbie to the whole mapping thing, so I need to do a lot more research on this, and find out exactly what the Contour XD provides, it may be just fine for what I need it for and the lakes I fish, I'll just have to get it hooked up and find out. Good luck with your searching.

One correction, the one I bought is the 798ci SI Combo, there is no "HD" in the model name. Sorry about that, don't know if that changes anything in what you were looking for, but did want to make sure and clarify.

ive been looking for a new graph as well and thought about the si version, but the guy at bps told me not to put that on my trolling motor, any feed back on that response i cant see why not.
I wouldn't put any faith in what a sales guy at BPS says.
I just got back from Bass Pro, and somehow a new 788, 798 (side and down imaging), navionics card, and networking link made it into the car with me. I don't know how that happened, but now I'm going to have to heat the garage up so I can install it in the triton! Wish the ice would melt.
