Gar, it was just under 16". I tried every way I could to stretch it, but I couldn't get it there. She was a big ole gal.

What do you guys use to weigh your fish? We've got to get some scales, and I don't know what I'm looking for. Something like regular bathroom scales where I weigh myself without fish and then weigh with fish, or something made specifically for weighing fish?

Max nice fish, keep it up you'll learn a bit more with every day on the water. And, as far as hurting the population by keeping the females... biologists suggest keeping the females and releasing the males, as the males are more important in the spawning process. But, I wouldn't worry about it , keep both. Crappie are prolific spawners.

Hahaha! I grew up a MSU fan, but they forgot to put a law school on campus! So, by nature of the considerable financial contribution I've made to Ole Miss over the years, we're now poster-kids for the university! Forgive us!

Fred, our motor is a 1972 (same age as ME!) 25hp Johnson Seahorse. I'm going to get a new fuel pump for it today or tomorrow, and hopefully, we'll be back in business by Wedenesday.

As long as the fish is caught in your boat, I do not worry about who exaclty catches it....just as much fun being the witness.....
