    Hey Satdoc!

I started fishing by the tall dead tree and fished to the bank and back to the channel until I got blowed down to the big curve in the channel...probably two or three curves out from the bridge. I had to go make some phone calls, so I had to hang out around Point Pleasant. When I got finished, I picked up my wife at the ramp, and we headed back to the tall dead tree and fished till dark. I guess it was around 8 by the time we got the boat.

I think I may have been fishing a little deeper than 2' but I tried shallower. I had three poles and I set them out with the deepest one about 3 feet. The other two were shallower. But the 3 foot pole was the only one catching fish, so I lowered the others.

Maybe that was the reason I caught so many small ones? I mean do the bigger fish hold at different levels than smaller ones?

Anyway, ya'll put me in the right direction, and I thank you guys for that. I'll figure out the finer points one at a time.

    Satdoc...oh wait!

If ya'll didn't leave until 7:30, then you guys passed us on your way out. We were fishing in about 5.5fow just before the point where the lake widens from the Long Branch creek...kinda across from the tall dead tree sitting by the channel. We saw a boat come out and I told Jennifer that it kinda looked likes ya'lls. But it was a little too dark out there for me to be able to see who was in it. She caught a fine fish right there just as ya'll were passing us. Of our four fish, three of them were females and they were packed full of eggs.

Max, don't let them boys down there talk you into ever growin up. OK to get old, just don't grow up. I've seen what some people call growed up, and didn't much care for it. Didn't look like much fun. Way to serious.

PapPaw used to always say, "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you was?" I kinda like that attitude, and I've stuck by it. Seems to be workin so far.

jimmy, I like your pawpaw's philosophy on life. I think I subscribe to it too. In fact, when you meet my wife, I'm pretty sure she'll back me up on this! I will go ahead and put that one in the sure thing pile.
