A guy told me they were banning the yoyo's on Lake Washington. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks
They should ban them across the state I think.
can't find anything on MDWFP web site.
I'm sure if anyone would know if this was true or not, it would be Pam Hammond @ Roy's on the upper end of the lake. A few years ago they institued tighter restrictions about the use of yoyos on this lake and it had gotten better compared to the previous years. It was really bad at one time, fish hanging out of the water all over the lake. I had no idea though a total ban was in the works.
Get the net!!!
If that were true it would be a blessing for that lake the yo yo's are crazy there.

I also think yoyo's should be banned everywhere. Though I have found a good use for them. I love to see people catch fish but, when their boat is bumping mine or I when I can't navigate my boat because someone is ontop of me. I break out my yoyo's and start putting them out....when they leave I'll take the bait off them and continue to fish that area....I find this way better over verbal confrontation

Hey Sac, I agree with you 100%. We fish Reel Foot a lot and when we first started going there those stupid things were hangin every where. I remember one time me and a couple of buddies of mine rescued a protected bird that was tangled up in one. If we would have not got the bird out of it, it would have died. Now you don't see them, I'm not sure if they made them illegal there or not but they should be.
