I was there on Saturday 3/5. Lake level was 241.78 and dropping slowly. Air temp was upper 60's - lower 70's. Water temps were between 52-58. Water was pretty muddy, but isn't it always? Wind was out of the South at 15+, so boat control was nearly impossible. I fished in 10'-20' in Wallace Creek, Bean Creek and anyplace on the South shore of the lake where I could get out of the wind. There were a lot of other boats fishing the same areas trying to get out of the wind. I did terribly, could not find any keeper sized fish. And I didn't see any of the boats around me catching many/any keeper sized fish either. I was single pole fishing with active target using jigs. I am not good with this technology yet, but I am good enough to know that anyplace I went was not holding the bigger fish.

We had 8 keepers Saturday. You are right the wind was tough. I turned my stern to the wind, threw out my drift sock, and did fairly well. We were at the upper end of the lake though, in the mouth of Billys creek. Fish were in 10 ft suspended about 5.

Caught some good fish. Two over 16 inches. Most between 12 ½ and 13.
