Well, there is no right answer. I like my boat until I’m trying to livescope into the wind. The lack of a deep keel up front makes it want to turn when the wind blows and especially when it’s gusty. That leaves me fighting to keep the nose where I want it and may or may not mean I have to over correct with the TM which may mean I lose visual with my target. Frustrating.
Then again, I have a relatively good riding boat with lots of room and a 4 stroke that had 17 hours on it when I bought it for roughly 40% cost of a same vintage 21 ft boat with a 250 4 stroke.
Then again, I top out about 40 vs cruising at 60 and top ends of 70 plus
Then again, I’ve owned it for 6-8 months and I think I’ve put 25 gallons of gas through it total and it’s 3/4 full now.
Then again, I have to throttle way back in rollers and white caps
You see what I mean. It’s all a trade off. And everyone works with the budget they have, not the one they wish they had.
Then again, I fish when I can and not when the weather is good.
Then again, I really don’t fish that many days.
Now my head hurts.
Wannabe...
