They have welded what looks like a tall pipe on top of it. It was dark when I was there or I would have taken a picture. I believe the squeaky wheel finally got the grease this time:biggrin.

They may still put a guage on it. What I saw looked just like the other pipes for the floating dock. I'm just glad they took care of it and saved a lot of us a lot of boat repairs. I know the lake level before I leave home by looking at m v k report.
They could have cut the thing off in less time than welding on a pipe. Does anyone that works for the government have any common sense?
That "I" beam was driven in the ground several feet. They were going to weld the pipe on it to extend the floating dock. Rains came and the water rose too fast and too high for them to complete the job. Maybe now they will extend the dock so it can be used during low water. It would be a simple matter to affix a water level gauge to that pipe.
