Ain’t fishing? Your opinion.

Get 4 of your buddies and all 5 of you run up to the bow to run the Livescope. I set my boat up for the convenience of clients. I’m working on a strategy where I can use my Livescope for more than one client. I’m not going to catch the fish for them. They hire me to TAKE THEM FISHING.

My friends fish with me so they can have a comfortable day using techniques they might not know or use very often. Our results must have been an anomaly since we weren’t fishing in your opinion.

If only livescope fishing is fishing then what were we all doing before 2 years ago? It’s all fishing just different techniques, I can spider rig, livescope, single pole , longline they all have a place and I would say this last trip to Mississippi I would put our results pulling boards up against anyones!

Some would say any technique outside of a cane pole and minner ain’t fishing ...

The definition of “fishing”’ should be relegated to camp fire banter - with alcohol ...

Go catch fish any way your morals are comfortable with - within the laws ...

That is for certain. I appreciate all who responded and kept it civil. I expected more outrage and personal attacks on the subject then garnered. Fish how you like, I actually took a poke at livesope as well, but heard no complaints about that part. Come live in MS and troll most the time you become thick skinned.

It’s hard to put up with the crowding we attracted without already having thick skin. Thick skull helps too.

I just want to say thanks to M R Dux for the tip on using planer boards. My wife doesn't get a chance to go fishing with me as much as she used to. So when she does I really need to put her on some fish. The tip on planer boards was the ticket on Grenada over the weekend. And also thanks to the guys in the brown Fisher boat who helped us dial in on them. Yes I have livescope but most people I take fishing can't use it correctly and don't have the skills necessary for proper jig presentation. Trolling crankbaits is a great and productive way to introduce people to the fun of crappie fishing. But it may not be for everyone.

I like to be on the water. I like the companionship of a partner or the solitude of fishing alone. If I catch a lot of fish that is just gravy. If I catch none I still had a good time. Some folks love to research an area and spend a week or two trying to find a big buck.....some had rather pay 2 grand and shoot one out of a pen.

To each his own as long as it is moral and legal.
