Bluesraider, you have pushed with Southern Crappie rods? the reason i ask is, I started with 12,13,14 ht star collapsible rods. when rigging my boat i found a set of wally marshall rods for sale and my new friend bought them, as i was spending extra money on boat at the time. So i later found a set of southern crappie 143T ( 2oz rated) for sale. we went pulling crankbaits one day and had all 3 rods together the WM were alot heavier in weight and backbone than the other 2. he pushed for a bit just playing with one of the WM but based on stiffness i would never think the SCR would handle pushing? we rigged the WM with 2 or 3oz of weight with 3ft leader to crankbait. Which SCR did you use and how did you rig for pushing. I have been thinking about selling the SCR and tryign another brand if i push more.
