I've heard rumors
I have been told by many people in the Meridian area that starting this month the catfishing is outstanding in Okatibbee. Almost everyone says they (starting with channel cat) move into the rocks to spawn. This makes sense to me but I do have a question. I am very experienced fishing river systems with cut and live bait for cats and understand how to locate fish, why they are there and how to set up to catch them. In a lake, not so such. What should I use for bait and what type of rocks (large, small, little points, pockets, etc.. I am interested. Want to learn. I love crappie and bass fishing as much as anyone else but I really enjoy hooking into a nice mess of cats. Any help or advise?
