Thread: Caught my first white perch in 11 years today

I went to the spillway at Okatibbee this afternoon just to try and catch a crappie. I have not fished fresh water in 11 years. Well, after observing the people fishing and watching their technique, I grabbed a rod, jig, and float and had a go. It took a while to figure out how they was biting and what to watch for. I caught four good keepers and an unknown number of 5 to 7 inchers. it was a blast.

Nothing like a positive start to unloosen the ol wallet.
