Last spawn was perfect in my book. If I was in charge of rainfall, we'd see that every year (yeah, it's probably a good thing I'm not in charge).

Last year, I learned stuff about crappie and crappie fishing I never imagined would be true. Those crazy things will hold in blackberry briars. I pulled monsters out of thickets that looked like they'd been fighting a wildcat, and many times, I went back home looking like I'd been in a fight with the same wildcat. I broke my favorite jig pole and replaced it with one I don't like nearly as well. Oh, and waders, you can tear up some waders in a heartbeat fishing high water.

Even with the scratches and having to buy new gear, I'll take high water spawns any year the Lord is pleased to throw one my way.
