    so your saying to avoid the current and try to fish the pockets right outside of it in calm water ima noob when people talk about creek channels eddys ect lol

    That’s exactly right. In my experience you want to stay out of the main current lines and fish the eddies and slack water. They use those current breaks as an ambush point. I usually start at about four feet deep under the cork and drop it down a foot every 8-12 casts until I find them. If I hit bottom before catching one then I just pick up and move down the bank some.

    okatibbee spillways usually around 5 feet up by the rocks so cant go to deep wish i knew how high the spillway is so could adjust
