    Dandy box o fish,
Have heard of but have yet to try Amber Romance for gnats.I am allergic to their bites,I get a welt bigger than a skeeter bite that takes over a week to go away......Walgreen (others ) sell a spray called Buggins that helps but I use it in a concoction that is even better.....I use a couple ounces of Buggins,3 or 4 ounces of imitation vanilla, and 3 or 4 ounces of original Listerine in a spray bottle.....It works pretty well but you will need to reapply it in 45 minutes or an hour........Also have used just the vanilla and Listerine and it is about as good.
Try it Dee,Hope it lets you enjoy your fishing more......

Have also read post from La. that says the fellas there use a product called Swamp Swatter .....Must be a local product as I have yet to find someplace to order it from...
There is a gnat post with more suggestions on the La. thread...

Ok guys, gotta chip in here. I spent the better part of my spare time fishing the piers and harbors of the gulf coast for the 6 years I lived down there. Those biting gnats would eat you alive but I can attest to the validity of the Amber Romance body spray. On the worst gnat days a few pumps of that stuff is all it takes. They will ABSOLUTELY leave you alone. Be sure to spray your hair because down there those gnats would burrow down into your hair and bite your scalp. The smell isn't bad either, you get used to it quickly and don't notice it after a few minutes. I took my bottle home and let my girlfriend spray me down with it before I went fishing so she would be expecting me to smell that way when I got back home... Lol. One trip to the harbor with me one day made her realize how important that stuff was in my fishing arsenal.

I’ve got a bottle in my truck and one in the boat. My wife said they were $18 for one bottle or $20 for two. Some marketing gimmick I guess.

My bottle is plastic and I dug it out of my salt water tackle box where it has been sitting for the past 7 years. I hope it's still good....

I haven’t been bit by the first one.. I must stink or something. they just hover around me by the millions.
They’ll be gone from here in a week or two... hopefully.

Then these must not be the same gnats that are on the coast. Those little devils will eat you alive...

Those suckers ate me alive two weeks ago near the Yacht Club. They were swarming around me non stop. Looked like I had leprosy when I got home.
