It was exciting, but not great! MS Outdoors was videoing a show, and we rolled up right next to them. They videoed us for a bit, and then went back to spiderrigging... About that time I caught a good one, and the net man, who has had countless hours of training, decided to chase it around from the tail end. The fish took great exception to being bumped, spit out the hook, and departed, cancelling my 15 minutes of fame! I wanted to swat said net man right out of the boat, but felt like it would not be understood on TV, since the vidoeographer had somehow managed to completely ignore all of the yelling when I thought the fish was caught!... So, that incident went unpunished, although karma was noted later, when a good one broke that flimsy line that I have told him so many times to replace. I don't care if you have had it on there since high school, some things must be tended to!
Then, the blue cats decided to start smacking every thing in sight... All in all, a good day of fishing, even if the crappie didn't fill our box!
