Jane and I are coming down for crank fest for the first time this year. Being a sissy yankee I know it is going to be HOT down there in Aug. I want to get a Sport Brella but was wondering what size. I have a SeaArk 240 so there is lots to cover. Any opinions welcome.Bo

Sports Brella XL, they fit in a 3/4" pin seat base perfectly. If you really want to up the game get some small cordless fans to go with it. I only use an umbrella, but am used to the heat and still young enough to barely stand it for 10 hours a day.

You will actually want to mount it in a pedestal as well to give you enough height clearance. That's assuming you have you have 3 across seat bases, how do you pull? Two off the front deck?

Pray for a cool front to push in. It happens every 15-20 years or so during August. Forget about July.

Snubbys first time to do this. I have Spyderlocks up front and a Perotti 4 on the back. I also have a bunch of rod holders around the back of the boat that I cat fish with. This is why I am going, to ask and learn. I can put the sport brella front or back. and I also have a Binami top. Just trying to cover my options.[pun intended]

Fair enough, that was the reason I asked you may need two one for the front and one for the back. When I pulled in a 16' jon we had to use two, one up front and one on the rear deck. It was a bit of pain getting fish in the boat with the one up in the back, but was worth it to be in the shade.
