Size: 85.9 KBA friend and I decided we would try them out Friday. We pulled up to a spot and caught 2 real quickly. We got to thinking this might turn out to be a great day. We were fishing close to the bank in 8 to 10 ft of water fishing 3ft deep using chartreuse/black jigs. Then I get a text on my phone from a young women in my neighbor hood. She ask me if I could look at her lawnmower. It won't crank. What could I do. I texted her back and told her I would check it out shortly. Her husband died last year from pancreatic cancer so while they were dealing with his illness my son and I took over the yard work. My friend and I figured we would fish about 45 more minutes. I knew she wanted to cut the grass before Saturday's rain came. We moved a short distance to a place we wanted to try out. Fishing next to the bank in 1 1/2ft of water we caught 2 more with one of them being the biggest of the day. It was 15 1/2". Figured we better go check out the mower because we weren't sure what problem we would be facing. Got there and could smell the varnish aroma of bad gas. Got it cranked and told her to run out all of the gas in it and put in fresh gas. Sure did want to go back fishing but traveling and unloading the boat again didn't fit into the plan. My wife and I ate fish Sat. and I even had some leftover for me Sunday. There will be another day but this weather we're having this year is something else.
