Build and install one of these jumpers and solve the jumping problem. 2 Anderson plugs and 6 gauge wire with ring eyes. Hook one side to cranking battery and one side to trolling battery. Tape up plugs until needed. Hook together and instant jump start.
I had booster cables and tried to boost from the trolling batteries but it wasn't enough. The trolling motor was working but it wouldn't start. It was a small gauge set from Harbor Freight but they were heavier than the cables to the motor.

Sold an old van to a guy this past spring that had been setting for close to 3 years without being started. The battery was dead and had been dead through at least 2 Michigan winters. He pulled one of those out of his pocket and I laughed at him. No way was he starting that van with a power pack that small. Two minutes later he was laughing at me as the van sat there running. That thing is a must have as far as I'm concerned.

Big difference when you have that direct connection over jumper cables. One of the secrets to jumping is once connection is made wait 3-5 minutes and let battery you are jumping from put a surface charge on cranking battery.

Washington has been dead since weekend of MCC tournament. We thumped em that sunday, but it has been a slow go since. Caught ONE the 26th, packed up at lunch and headed to another nearby lake and caught some good numbers of nice fish.

Takes a while for a TM battery to charge a starter battery.

I got my 2000 amp booster in yesterday. Now if I can just figure out what is pulling down my battery.
