    Default Lake Washington

Anyone heard any reports from Lake Washington? Looks like the last worm day for a while and was wondering where to go.

There is a little more to the story than no fish. When I quit to come home my motor wouldn't crank due to a dead battery. It came off the charger just before I left and cranked fine. Something is pulling it down. I trolled up to a dock and walked up to the road and after 2 trucks passed by, one stopped to help. He said there was a steep place he could pull down to and I could back up to and he pulled down but the cables were about 2' short so he got back in and pulled down the other 2'. When he got out of his truck he forgot to put it in park. When he went to get out, it came at me like a bullet, while I was screaming Whoa!!!! It came in the water and hit my boat and the rods in the rack on that side breaking 3 rods before he could stop it. I could just see the truck coming on top of my boat and me. Luckily he got it stopped just as it hit the boat. It just put a small scratch on the corner. It could have been a lot worse, including the truck getting on top of me, since I was kneeling on the back by the transom. He apologized and offered to pay for the rods, but I told him to forget it that I was just thankful to get it cranked as it was getting close to dark.
I got back to the landing and after loading on the trailer, it had charged up and would crank several times. I have got to find out what is draining the battery. When you leave home, you never know what kind of a day you are going to have.

Glad that everything worked out as well as it did. No one wants to lose tackle but sounds like it could have been much worse.

Build and install one of these jumpers and solve the jumping problem. 2 Anderson plugs and 6 gauge wire with ring eyes. Hook one side to cranking battery and one side to trolling battery. Tape up plugs until needed. Hook together and instant jump start.
