Anyone tried that on the big 4?
I would really like to try this in the heat of the summer, used to be a blast decades ago.
Would I actually find others out there?
Are there any additional rules I have to worry about?
    Are ramps safe at night?
Is lake safe from speeding bass boats in the dark?
I hear green lights are now the thing, used to be Coleman Lanterns.

I did search in forum, founds hits but nothing that seemed current.

    Thanks

Would need to be dressed like a dang beekeeper cause the bugs be my guess, they are bad enough during the day. I doubt you will find very many fishermen out there at night other than the occasional bow-fishing boat. Think most night fishing guys launch at the ramps before sundown and get setup before dark, as far as ramps being safe that's anyone's guess, heck they break into cars in broad daylight. Rules, I think all your required to have is a red/green light that is visible up to two miles, some other rules may apply, I would check with the COE or MDWFP. As far as bass boats, who knows those guys could pop up out of now where and if they now a man is trying to crappie fish then a few would get ginned up to make sure they ruin your night. All you can do is go give it a try.
