Jig Colors

[Crappie Hooker]

Hey Guys and Gals,

I have a quick question, what is the best jig colors for Sardis, Enid, & Grenada?

Anything with chartreuse and tipped with a minner hooked thru the eyes

Orange/chart. Black/chart. Red/chart. Silver/chart. only difference is I hook my minners through the lips on jigs. through the eyes on double minner rigs.

Black/chart!! Don't want to hack the thread but Why do yall hook minnows thru the eyes on double Minnow rigs I have always hooked em up thru the lips? Am I missing something or just a preferance?

No reason in particular just the way I have always done it... maybe I'm doing it wrong??

Like Erin B, I always hook mine through the lips on jigs. I can go either way on double minner rigs.

Keeps the minnow from being knocked off so easy....also makes the minnow flutter trying to get in a upright position and that attracts fish.

Anything with chartreuse. Carry a few different colors, their choice of colors can change during the day if not using minnows.
My last outing I used pink/chartreuse, orange/chartreuse on the top jig. The bottom jig was black/pink. I caught white bass on all, crappie only on the black/pink.
