Was with him the day before he died, he told me goodbye with a smile on his face and thanked me for taking him on several hunting in those 6 years.

Sounds like a very brave young man! Hate to hear of his passing, I will make it a point to go in there next time down. Thanks for sharing the story, and the walk thru the spillway sounds neat. I was down there the day of crankfest and they had one side of the spillway blocked off and were pumping water out from somewhere back into the outlet channel.

Looks like they were holding some water in 1942
