    Default Umbrella rigs

I was at Wal-Mart the other day and saw an umbrella rig. Basically a weight with 5 wires and swivels co.ing off it. I think a crappie would tear this up.

My question is is it legal? Is it considered one bait or 5?

No. Not legal. Regs say 2 hooks per line.

Legal here in KY and a pain in the butt to deal with. I've caught crappie on them but not enough to justify the twisted line and effort.

What you saw in Wally World was probably a bass sized rig. There are companies that make a smaller version for crappie. Rickie at Podunk Ideas has them.
