I hope I've found way to tolerate the heat this weekend. Even though I have a hard top on my pontoon boat, heading downwind is still kinda miserable mid-afternoon so I have been working on a contraption to help keep us cool this weekend. I have a 1000w power inverter that I'm hooking to two yellow top optimas in parallel which will run my 24" pedestal fan on low speed for 5 hrs. continuous. I ordered a 35lb. /in. 12v high pressure water pump from Ebay and mounted it to the fan base. I'm using 3/8 clear plastic tubing to plumb the pump to 3 misting nozzles that I have zip-tied to the fan, using an automotive breather filter in my 5 gal. sump bucket to keep the pump clean, and an automotive fuel filter inline to keep the mist jets from stopping up. Dang thang is working in my carport like a champ and I can't wait to try it out Thursday. Name: IMG_20170725_062559039.jpg
