Always pays to have on your pfd. Glad it worked out as well as it did for you, Ive seen a few guys go overboard with outboards going. I fell in with my foot control rigged to stay on pulling cranks with no pfd. Bad feeling trying to swim to catch up to a boat moving 2mph in the middle of a lake. Good thing your son was there to help you out, when things happen on the water, they happen fast
